Top Wedding Vendor Award
Batesburg — Hagan Williams DJs, a local entertainment company, was announced as a winner of the 2022 WeddingWire Couples’ Choice Awards® and Best of Weddings on The Knot, accolades representing the top wedding professionals across the board in quality, service, responsiveness and professionalism reviewed by couples on these leading wedding vendor marketplaces.
Hagan Williams is a 2020 graduate of Wyman King Academy and grew up in Batesburg. Currently a sophomore at the University of South Carolina, he is also the owner of Hagan Williams DJs. His company will provide entertainment at over 50 events in 2022, including weddings, corporations, and birthday parties and events at The University of South Carolina and Clemson University.
Hagan found his love for DJing as a high school student when he began with events for school dances and birthday parties; he later expanded to include weddings. His parents, Mark and Lisa, then joined him in the adventure. Early on, Hagan sought experience and knowledge while watching and helping his mentors DJ events as well as working at one the Southeast’s top wedding venues, Tin Roof Farms in Saluda, SC.
Tony Signorino, DJ from Titusville, FL, and Hagan’s mentor said, “I have enjoyed watching Hagan grow in his DJ career ever since I met him 3 years ago. He has shown the personality and style to stay on top of the game with today’s event trends and most importantly keeping up with the client’s needs and wants.”
Tin Roof Farms gave Hagan much experience as a high school student as he learned firsthand what a professionally managed wedding day looks like. “Hagan was one of our first hires as a staffer to assist on wedding day,” said Melanie Giddens, owner. “He caught on fast and saw that attention to detail matters even if it is possible no one would notice. His dependability, respect for others and high moral character would be noticed in any task or job.” Giddens added “We had the pleasure of working with Hagan’s team at a recent wedding and realized their care to subtle details and desire to make the bride and guests experience unique and memorable was a family affair. As the company has grown, wedding planners have also recognized a level of excellence in Hagan’s business. Over the past 3 years, the company has continued to add top-of-the-line equipment to ensure that every moment is beautifully lit and that each word of every speech is heard. They utilize software that enables couples to custom-design wedding playlists of the couple’s favorite songs. For those looking to liven up the reception, their interactive photo booth gives guests the chance to create their own memorable souvenirs. They have also added cold sparks and day-of wedding coordinating services.

WE ARE BACK ll! Hollywood Ruritan Wives Garage Sale will be held on Saturday, March 26th, 2022 at the Hollywood Ruritan Building. Sale will begin at 9 AM.
We will have lots and lots of items to sell including home decorations, kitchen items, pocket books, shoes, dishes, books, clothes for men, women, and children, possibly some furniture, lots of toys, and many more items all at bargain prices. Some yummy baked items will be available for sale.
