Food Distribution Sites

  Dear Saluda Parents and Community,
  Beginning Monday, March 23 Saluda County Schools will adjust how student meals will be picked up. The District will have 2 drive up locations and several walk up locations. These changes are being made in an attempt to serve more children while at the same time reducing the number of staff members needed throughout the District to continue operations.
  Per federal regulation, children must be present to receive a meal, and all children eighteen and under are eligible for food. Each bag will contain the day’s lunch and the next day’s breakfast.
  Meals will be available at the following walk up locations and times:
  1. Riverside Community Center from 10:30 a.m - 11:30 a.m.
  2. Rubys (near Little River Landing) from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
  3. Oakwood Drive from 10:30 a.m. - 10:40 a.m.
  4. Spearpoint Loop from 10:45 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
  The District will also use a mobile bus for student meal pick up at the following locations and times. Please be on time at your location.
  1. 10:30-Willow Creek Apartments (10 minutes)
  2. 10:45-Juniper Drive (15 minutes)
  3. 11:05-Denny/East Wheeler Circle (10 minutes)
  4. 11:20-Saluda Livestock (10 minutes)
  5. 11:40-Hillview (15 minutes)
  6. 12:00-Village Road (15 minutes)
  Saluda High School will continue to serve as a drive-thru site from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
  Rubys will also serve as a drive thru site for the Hollywood area from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
  The District will continue to monitor its student meal program and make adjustments as needed.

  A partir del lunes 23 de marzo, las Escuelas del Condado de Saluda ajustarán la forma en que se recogerán las comidas de los estudiantes. El Distrito tendrá 2 ubicaciones para conducir y varias ubicaciones para caminar. Estos cambios se están haciendo en un intento de servir a más niños y al mismo tiempo reducir la cantidad de miembros del personal necesarios en todo el Distrito para continuar las operaciones.

Aiken County Schools Lunch Delivery

  Beginning Tuesday, March 17, Aiken County  school buses began transporting meals to students along othe regular bus routes. These no-cost, grab-and-go meals are available to any student desiring one. Each grab-and-go bag contains nutrition for breakfast as well as lunch. Buses transporting food for students begin their routes at 11 a.m., and most will have made their deliveries by 12:30 p.m.
  Please be reminded about the laws in stopping for school buses. When a school bus is stopped on a two-lane road with its red lights flashing and its stop arm extended, you must stop your vehicle 20 feet from the bus. There are going to be buses making deliveries, so please use caution and watch out for students as they make their way to bus stop locations for these meal deliveries.
  If a student has not received a meal and the bus delivery time is delayed by more than 30 minutes at the published meal delivery time, please contact the District Transportation Office at (803) 593-7201 and a bus will be radioed to deliver a meal to your stop.
  Food for students is also available by picking up a grab-and-go bag at any of the school campuses between the hours of 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
  Mon., Mar. 23, was a published day off, so there was no delivery that day.

The Saluda High School Booster Club would like to take this opportunity to encourage the citizens of Saluda to join the Booster this coming fall and show your support for our Tigers. This past year we came from near and far to celebrate a miraculous season in football. It is something we will always remember. We hope that there will be many more to come!
  Right now our main source of fundraising is selling booster burgers at all the home games.We encourage you to join our team of booster burger workers.Some of the older ones want to step away, they have done this for many years now.We need more new members to take their place,and the boosters want you to see where these funds are going. These funds are paid directly to the Athletic Department at Saluda High School and are distributed to the different sports per their request.
