Team members were Ethan Altman, Corby Hite, Harley Cochran, and Samuel Barstow.  The students competed in four events including tree and pest identification, tree measurement, compass and pacing and tool identification.  Ethan was the high individual overall, high scorer in equipment identification, and high scorer in the tree/pest identification portions.
Other Saluda students competing included: Coy Smith, William Yonce, Wesley Padgett, and Hunter Proctor.  William was third high individual overall.
The clinic is a career day highlighted by a forestry competition where students interact with foresters and natural resource professionals from the SC State Forestry Commission, the SC Department of Natural Resources, the US Forest Service and Conservation District Commissioners.
The Saluda County Forestry Association and Saluda Soil and Water Conservation District helped to sponsor the event.
