Ridge Lines

by Josie Rodgers

Coach and I got married 23 years ago this Sunday (Jan. 15). We met in 1997 when he came to work at Great Falls High School in March. He actually met my parents at a funeral only a few weeks after we met. My dad told me that day, “You can bring him home!” I assured him that I was not going to be bringing him home. We became friends but didn’t start dating until the fall of 1998. We got engaged the fall of 1999 and then decided to get married in Jan. of 2000. Amber was my maid of honor, and even my granny was able to come to the wedding. We have lots of stories of our adventures that weekend. From tears at the appearance of the chapel to getting lost on the way to the restaurant to listening to drunk golfers in the adjoining hotel room all night, it was a weekend we’ll never forget!
In Ridge Spring, we have our own celebrity chef! Now you have the opportunity to learn from him! Chef Brandon Velie of Juniper is hosting a workshop on Jan. 21 and Jan. 28 from 3-5 pm (because the first class sold out in less than 24 hours!). At this event, Chef Velie will explore the wonders of plant-based cooking and demonstrate techniques to create dishes that are sure to please. Whether you are a season cook or a novice, all will benefit from this experience. Only 10 participants are allowed in order to provide one-on-one instruction, so you need to register as soon as possible. Cost is $65 and includes all supplies, food, recipes, and instructions. Call 803-685-7547.
Congratulations to Tara Berry who received the Top Sales and Listing Agent Award for 2022 from Lake Murray Properties!
