Saluda, top ranked in 2A for the third straight week, will host 3A’s 8th ranked Gilbert Friday. The Indians were ranked 4th in 3A until they fell to 5A Lexington last Friday. Kick-off is at 7:30.

 


Town Gets Grant For Park

  The Town of Saluda has received a grant that will provide bathrooms and playground equipment to the park behind Town Hall and is in  need your help!
  The Town is searching for a name for the park and would love to hearsuggestions!
  Here are had a few recommended already: Alamo Park, Church St. Park, Tiger Alley Park, OneSaluda Park.

Benefit For Logan Reyes

A Benefit for Logan Reyes, son of Eduardo and Jessica Reyes, will be held Sat., Sept. 24, 11 a.m-2 p.m. at Hollywood Ruritan Club.
  This benefit is to assist Logan’s family with medical expenses incurred from his recent open-heart surgery. Logan has more surgery to come. Your donations will be greatly appreciated.
  For sale will be a cheeseburger, chips and drink.  Tickets: $10 each.
  A bake sale will also be held.

4336 County COVID
Cases, 79 Deaths

  Saluda County’s COVID-19  cases total 4336 (4323 last week, down 61.3%), with 79 actual and probable deaths.
  Saluda County has 9,557 completed vaccinations and ranks 41st in the state.
  The number of tests given in Saluda County is 49,806.
  Counties neighboring Saluda had the following cases (3 weeks, new reporting combines actual and probable cases): Aiken - 47,333 - 47,738 - 47,977;   Edgefield - 7624 - 7673 - 7702;  Greenwood -24,747 - 24,907 - 25,010; Lexington -  111,107 - 112,096 - 112,885; Newberry - 14,938 - 15,059 - 15,128.
  Cases were down 33.6 percent in S.C.
  Positive tests were 12.3%.
  The state total is 1,696,746and 18,316 deaths.

  DHEC urges South Carolinians to be positive you're negative by routinely getting tested if you're regularly out in the community.  DHEC-sponsored testing is free, doesn't require insurance, and results are available within 72 hours. DHEC's testing options have expanded to include shallow nasal testing, an oral swab, or a saliva test at different locations.
